FreeCon is Tallahassee's original anime, video-game, and enthusiast convention. Originally stemming from the brilliant minds of the Japanese Animation Club of Tallahassee, it is our mission to have a fun and exciting convention for everyone. With attendee numbers rising every year, FreeCon is well known not only on the campus of Florida State University but all over Florida. Attendance is free for all!
Going into its eleventh year, FreeCon's staff and supporters change annually. We make sure that we are up-to-date with the latest in the convention scene as well as preparing all of our events and facilities with top-notch care, and optimize it for the current market. Hence, why our theme changes every year! Since FreeCon 7 (2011), it has been our mission to create a unique, lively social experience centered on our theme, mascot, heroes, villains, and plot. Aside from the convention experience, we want to cater towards committed attendees who wish to immerse themselves in a fictional world that we created -- an "Anime," if you will, to enjoy as you are at the convention.
Each year, we try to top previous years, and this year is no exception. With a brand new theme and bigger events, this eleventh year of FreeCon promises to be better than before, while still aiming to bring the best FREE convention possible.
